Wow! I haven't blogged in a long time. It's because life has been crazy. Of course it has been a good kind of crazy. Changing jobs, having a kid, selling a house, and all kinds of stuff tend to take me away from blogging which I am not very good at anyway.
I was at a youth conference this past weekend and was shown the following video blog from Penn from Penn & teller. Penn is an athiest. As I listened to him I couldn't help but shed some tears. Watch for yourself.

GOD BLESS AMERICA?

I've always hated the bumper sticker that says "God Bless America". I ususally see it on cars that also include other ridiculous bumber stickers that are supposedly "Christian". What exactly does this bumper sticker mean anyway? Does it mean that we as Americans are selfish and do not care about other people in the world? Do we think that no one besides ourselves should have any blessings at all
What about this next bumper sticker. I think it is a little more accurate. Of course that could be interpreted wrong as well. Do we really think we can tell God He needs to bless us? I think He already has since He gave His Son to die for us so that we can be free from complete seperation.

It's sad when I see stickers like the one below that want to see Christ so bad through those of us who claim to be Christians. I know that we as Christians are not perfect and have many faults just like the rest of the world, but how do we shift this attitude and perception the world has about us? Is it possible?
